- To provide you with news, special offers, and general information about goods, services, and events we offer that are similar to those you have already purchased or inquired about, unless you have opted not to receive such information
We do not sell your personal data for money. Our use of advertising and analytics cookies may, however, constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising or a “sale” as those terms are broadly defined under some U.S. state privacy laws. Section 12 explains how to opt out.
5. Legal Basis for Processing Under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data concerned and the specific context in which we collect it. We may process your Personal Data because:
- We need to perform a contract with you, or take steps at your request before entering into one
- You have given us consent to do so, which you may withdraw at any time
- The processing is in our legitimate interests and those interests are not overridden by your rights
- We need to process payments
- We need to comply with the law
6. Retention of Data
We retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
In general, we keep client engagement records for the duration of the engagement and for seven years afterward for tax, insurance, and professional-record purposes; we keep marketing contact records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; and we retain Usage Data for a shorter period, except where that data is used to strengthen security or improve functionality, or where we are legally obligated to retain it longer.
7. Transfer of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
We are based in the United States, and our service providers process data in the United States. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United States and process it there.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer. Where personal data is transferred from the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where our service provider participates in it. We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
8. Disclosure of Data
Business transaction
If CultureSafe Consulting, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Disclosure for law enforcement
Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities, such as a court or a government agency.
Legal requirements
We may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation
- Protect and defend the rights or property of CultureSafe Consulting, LLC
- Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
- Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
- Protect against legal liability
9. Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us, but no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control Signals
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. There is no common industry standard for how DNT signals should be honored, and our Service does not respond to DNT signals.
We do recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data for targeted advertising for that browser, as required by California, Connecticut, and other state privacy laws. Because this signal is tied to the browser and device you are using, you will need to enable it on each browser and device.
11. Your Data Protection Rights Under the GDPR
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have certain data protection rights. We aim to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data. If you wish to be informed what Personal Data we hold about you, or you want it removed from our systems, please contact us using the details in Section 17.
In certain circumstances, you have the following rights:
- The right to access, update, or delete the information we hold on you. Where possible, you can access, update, or request deletion of your Personal Data directly within your account settings. If you cannot perform these actions yourself, contact us and we will assist you.
- The right of rectification. You have the right to have your information corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
- The right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.
- The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
- The right to data portability. You have the right to be provided with a copy of the information we hold on you in a structured, machine-readable, and commonly used format.
- The right to withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. You also have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your Personal Data. For more information, contact your local data protection authority in the EEA, or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom.
12. Your Rights Under U.S. State Privacy Laws
Several U.S. states, including California, Connecticut, Colorado, Virginia, Texas, and others, give residents rights over their personal data. Whether or not we meet the size thresholds that make a particular state law apply to us, we extend the following rights to all U.S. residents who contact us:

California “Shine the Light.” California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Artificial intelligence. We do not sell personal data to, or share it with, third parties for the purpose of training large language models or other artificial intelligence systems.
13. Service Providers
We employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
